The City of Pico Rivera launched a Utility Box Art Program to showcase local artists and provide public art throughout the community. Over the past couple of years, about a dozen utility boxes located throughout the City have been wrapped with artwork produced by local artists. From paintings to photographs, each box has a unique piece of artwork that was submitted through the first two phases of the program.
Recently, the final phase of the program was announced, and once again, the City is inviting community members, including art students, to participate in the final phase of the program. The theme of the final phase is Historic Pico Rivera, Local Veteran Pride, or Pico Rivera Landmarks.
Artwork may be submitted in person to the Department of Parks and Recreation, 6767 Passons Blvd., or via email at submissions@pico-rivera.org
