There are plenty of activities going on at your local Library; here’s what’s going on at the two Pico Rivera Libraries.

Annual Bookmark Contest
Students in grades K through 12 are invited to participate in the Los Angeles County Library’s Annual Bookmark Contest, an annual program which encourages a love of books and reading while also promoting creativity, artistic expression and community engagement. Students will have the chance to see their bookmark designs featured at their local library and throughout Los Angeles County.

Entry forms are available at both Pico Rivera Libraries, and available online at https://lacountylibrary.org/bookmark-contest/. To submit an entry, you may scan at submit on the Library’s website, submit it to the closest Pico Rivera Library, or mail your entry to LA County Library, ATTN: Bookmark Contest, 12348 Imperial Hwy, Norwalk, CA 90650. The deadline for entry is October 5, 2024.

Each library will announce a local winner in each grade-level category in November. The Board of Supervisors will select the Grand prize winners for each LA County Supervisorial District in the Spring; these 20 winning designs will be made into bookmarks, available across all County libraries in 2025.
