DIAL-A-RIDE 

DIAL-A-Van and DIAL-A-Cab provide curb-to-curb transportation service within the city to all Pico Rivera residents ages 55 and older and to disabled residents of any age. All interested residents must complete a registration application with a $5 processing fee, which is available at the Pico Rivera Senior Center. Please bring your current identification and a utility bill as proof of residency.

DIAL-A-VAN

Dial-A-Van (DAV) is a free service available Monday through Friday 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. It also provides service for medical appointments outside of the city within six miles of City Hall. Reservations to use the service must be made seven days in advance. Schedule changes must be made with the dispatch center and not the driver. 

DIAL-A-CAB

The Dial-A-Cab (DAC) program complements the Dial-A-Van program. It provides service for medical appointments outside of the city within six miles of City Hall. DAC passengers will receive a Transit I.D. card and must pay a $1.00 co-pay fare directly to the driver per one-way trip. Riders have a maximum of 20 trips per month. There is a $5 replacement fee for lost ID cards.

Service is available 7 days a week 24 hours a day to and from any point within the City and to and from certain satellite points (medical facilities) outside the City. Reservations can be made on the same day of service.

The City of Pico Rivera has three transportation subsidy programs with Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) that allow students, seniors, and disabled residents to purchase bus passes at discounted costs.

Students and disabled residents can add discounted passes at the Senior Center during specified hours.

In addition, Pico Rivera operates a Dial-A-Ride service available to residents who are at least 55 years old or who are disabled of any age.

MTA Bus Passenger Subsidy Program

The City of Pico Rivera subsidizes the purchase of MTA bus passes for selected residents using its Proposition “A” funds.
