The City of Pico Rivera welcomes you and your child to the Recreation & Education Accelerating Children’s Hopes (REACH) After School Program. In partnership with the El Rancho Unified School District, REACH provides a service to families that need after-school care. REACH is designed to enhance children’s overall academic performance, reduce absenteeism, improve behavior, and re-engage the child in the educational process by providing homework assistance, mentoring, performing, and recreational activities in a safe, supervised environment. REACH operates Monday through Friday after school until 6:00 pm.
The City’s Parks and Recreation Department will be accepting applications for the 2025-2026 academic year beginning Tuesday, May 20 at 8:00 am for all 8 elementary sites (Birney, Durfee, Magee, North Ranchito, Rio Vista, Rivera, South Ranchito, Valencia) in the El Rancho Unified School District. REACH is open to all students in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade.
