Reading Stars No Cost Tutoring
Reading Stars is part of LA County Library’s no-cost tutoring services and is open to enrolled students in Grades 1–6. Thirty locations, including the Pico Rivera Library, will be offering weekly tutoring from January 28–May 22, 2025. Students and tutors will meet one day each week for an hour-long appointment. California State Park Pass
As a reminder, residents planning a day trip to a California State Park can check out a California State Library Parks Pass from either the Pico Rivera Library or the Rivera Library. These day passes provide free vehicle day-use entry to over 200 participating state parks operated by the state to adult library card holders. Pico Rivera Library Electric Vehicle Charging
Ten electric vehicle charging stations with PowerFlex chargers are now available at Pico Rivera Library. PowerFlex chargers require you to use a smartphone app. Users can download this easy-to-use app to their smartphone and add funds to their mobile wallet using a credit card. The app automatically calculates the necessary plug-in duration and cost to acquire the user’s desired charge level. Please contact the Pico Rivera Library if you have any questions.
Holiday Hours
The Rivera Library will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025, for President’s Day. Both the Pico Rivera Library and the Rivera Library will be closed on Thursday, March 6, 2025, for Staff Development Day.
