Pico Rivera is creating a Climate Action Plan (CAP) to better prepare our community from the effects of climate change. We will present our findings and want to hear YOUR ideas to ensure we use the best strategies, actions, and local priorities to help cut pollution/contamination and protect Pico Rivera from climate challenges.
Open to students ages 12-18 Learn about the Climate Action Plan and share your ideas for a greener Pico Rivera. Food will be provided!
Learn the practice of backyard and worm composting, plus other aspects of smart gardening: water conservation, grasscyling, and edible gardening.
Join us and learn how to sort and separate organics (food) materials from the kitchen and after seniors eat their meals.

FREE garden mulch on Saturday, June 15, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Whittier Fertilizer Company, 9441 Kruse Road. Residents can receive one 33-gallon container of mulch free of charge. Additional containers can be filled for $1 each. Residents must bring their own containers, as none will be available at the site.
