The Crossroads Plaza on Whittier Boulevard has seen progress over the last few months since Home Depot vacated the premises back in 2018. Since the departure, the property management has reconfigured the unoccupied retail space to accommodate three new retailers. Burlington Coat Factory is now open, while DD’s Discounts and Ross Dress for Less will open at a future date. Phase 2 of the project has also begun, as grading for the foundation of the future Chase Bank building is well underway. The old Chase Bank building located across the street on Whittier Boulevard will close, and City staff will work with the
owners of the original Chase Bank for any assistance with processing development applications through the City for future tenants and uses.
In addition to the new retail space, new landscaping, paint, lighting, and parking lot upgrades have taken place, giving Crossroads Plaza a fresh new look.
Keep an eye out for future editions of the Profile for opening dates for the remaining retailers.
