City to Host Backyard and Composting Workshop

Residents are invited to learn how to create compost for their gardens or yards through the City’s Backyard & Composting Workshop held on Wednesday, March 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pico Rivera Community Garden, 8606 Beverly Boulevard.

During this FREE workshop, native landscaping and how to grow your own food will be discussed, in addition to learning how to reuse garden and food scraps to enrich your garden. Early attendees will get free seeds for planting.
