The Holiday Season will officially begin in the City of Pico Rivera with the City’s annual Holiday and Tree Lighting Festival on Sunday, December 3 on the grounds of City Hall from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The popular wintry event will include an Elves Workshop for Kids, Elves Body Art Painting, a ride aboard the Santa Express, food, and a Holiday Vendor Fair. Plus, City Hall will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland complete with a FREE snow toss area and snow play area, so be sure to bring your snow boots and mittens.
In addition to the snow play area, music lovers will want to get their dancing shoes on as Soto will be performing live at the event.
City officials and the community will come together for the official Tree Lighting Ceremony that will take place from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to get together and celebrate the start of the Holiday season,” said City Manager Steve Carmona. “This is one of our most attended event of the year, and we’re excited to see everyone come out and have a great time.”
The Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony is FREE, there will be minimal fees for the Holiday activities, cash only will be accepted.
Please note that Passons Boulevard will be closed between Wampler and Marjorie Streets from 7:00 a.m. to midnight to accommodate the stage and viewing area.
