Award-Winning Photography

This past May, the City’s Media and Communications Division received yet another award for its work marketing the City of Pico Rivera. Presented by the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO), the City won the Award of Distinction in the photography category.

During this year’s call for entries, the City submitted an entry as a themed series and it was for “Sunsets over Pico Rivera” where the media team went out to various locations in Pico Rivera to capture sunsets. The shots that were highlighted were of Pico Park just over the new Futsal court and of the Dal Rae Restaurant facing west looking down Washington Blvd.

The photographs were shot by our City photographer using a DJI Phantom 4 Pro.
