More than 135 guests sold out the Río Hondo College (RHC) Foundation’s Golf Tournament and helped raise more than $102,000 to support RHC students at the Pacific Palms Resort earlier this fall. It set a record for the annual event, which first teed off in 2005 and is one of the Foundation’s signature fundraisers.

Over the last 19 years, the Golf Tournament has generated a net revenue of more than $500,000 for the RHC Foundation, whose mission is to provide financial support to college programs, equipment, scholarships and other projects benefitting the Río Hondo community and its scholars.

Each year, the RHC Foundation Golf Tournament treats its generous attendees to a day of golf, food and contests, including a special raffle. This year, one lucky winner took home a Kobe Bryant mural valued at over $15,000. Funds raised are used to empower RHC students to achieve their academic and career goals, whether pursuing degrees, certificates, transfers or lifelong learning opportunities.
