Longtime resident and namesake of the Kruse Dairy, Wesley Kruse, passed away last month at the age of 75. Wesley Kruse was born on October 17, 1945, and grew up in the original town of Pico, where his father Walter Kruse founded the Kruse Dairy, which at its peak was nearly 300 acres. The only remnants of the Dairy today is the Drive-Thru Dairy along Kruse Road, and the Kruse family home located off of Sandoval Avenue. Wesley attended El Rancho High School and graduated in 1963. He later attended Whittier College, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, and he received his Master’s Degree in International Business from the Thunderbird School of International Business in Arizona. Wesley became a real estate broker in 1975, and that was his passion for the next 45 years. Wesley was also very active in the City, having volunteered with the City during the Anniversary celebrations, and was an active member of the Pico Rivera Chamber of Commerce. Wesley is survived by his wife Louise, their three children, and granddaughter.
